OUR STORY

Just over a year ago, we arrived in London as passionate marine life students seeking to act on the numerous opportunities this city has to offer.

Contrary to our expectations, we quickly realised that most students interested in sustainability were not aware of the importance of marine life and even if they were, the strong lack of opportunity made them give up on the very idea of involvement.

With this in mind, we decided to revive the UCL Scuba Club with the objective of going beyond simply certifying scuba divers; we are going to create the opportunity for sustainable action in marine life.

This initiative is called the 'Beyond Diving Program' which in addition to standard PADI certifications will focus on providing both technical conservation skills and general awareness and networking opportunities.

 

For 2023-2024, the Beyond Diving Program will consist in the following opportunities:

- Scuba conservation training in Term 2 and 3

- Networking marine conference in Term 2 and 3 (1/term)

- Summer Conservation Diving Trip 

-Marine volunteering opportunities T2 (TBD)
